I stumbled across something on the internet from Honda motors.
I had no idea that they made a prototype electric vehicle.
The research began in 1987, and the vehicle came out in 1995; otherwise known as the Honda EV Plus.
Where is this vehicle today????
Thought in mind; (besides GM)
Why do dealerships create an electric vehicle and then just cover it up, and burry the hatchet?
This seems to be an irritating issue with me because if dealers have actually created a prototype and then forget about it, now that were having problems with the supply and demand of oil, are we running out of time to create more EV's?
As to why..? My best guess is the car companies and oil companies are in a duopoly arrangement in that they act in concert to manipulate requirements and opinion so that oil continues to be the fuel of choice.
As that guy in Who Killed the Electric Car said -- there's approximately 1 trillion barrels of oil left in the ground. That represents 1 trillion barrels of business remaining to be conducted. My thought is no business is going to leave that much money behind especially when they'll be selling that oil into an economic situation where oil has a high price.
In any case, the EV+ ... at the time Honda ran advertisements with this car having a cord dangling out the end. The ad text said "A car with a cord, sounds like a Honda" (groooooaan)
Honda has recycled some of the old EV+ bodies as their fuel cell vehicle. I drove one of those in 2005 when a big demonstration event was held in San Francisco showing the fuel cell vehicles.

hrmmmm
ehem, I own a Honda Cord :)
You think that is underhanded, they have had a cure for cancer now for years. The drug companies never marketed the cure, as they would lose billions upon billions.
Get used to it, EV's are just in the long list of cover ups. The 100 MPG carburetor, aliens that live on our planet (in disguise of course), UFO's (I have seen one), the fake moon landing...
