Have a Lightning 250w 24v scooter that doesn;t get a charge due to a disconnected wire on the socket ( a 3 prong socket). Showing red and black wires and the 3rd one is disconnected. Will anyone would know which wire is supposed to be connected on this and on to the controller to give an idea so I can get my scoot back on the street. Thx, gramps

Usually one pin (the center) on the XLR connectors is not used.
Are you sure your charger is still good?
Thanks for the come back. I think the charger is still good, I plugged it on and checked the output and it is good. Connected it back to the socket, still no charge. Too bad can't afford to rebuild the whole set up, I bet that'll be best.New controller to throttle etc. but no can do. Thanks anyway guys for helping out Grandson and I are grateful. I'll keep trying though, might hit it by accident.
Do you have voltage getting through the plug on the scooter side of the plug? Or maybe a broken connection at the batteries? I'd start tracing to see where the voltage stops.

found the culprit, the hot wire for the socket was for some reason pinched and cut. I can't see it because it was along the opening for the rest of the wiring. That out of the way it's charging again and will straighten up the mess today. Grandson and I are heading for the park, thank you all for the support and suggestions that walked me through the end result. Many thanks.I cannot believe that people will be jumping in and pitch in with real interest to help.
