This apparently got some attention at the AltCar festival in Santa Monica a couple weeks ago. It is an electric motorcycle conversion built on a Ninja 250. Thundersky battery pack. It has an aerodynamic fairing. But the twist is it was built by the owner of a solar power installation company, and he's claiming it's solar powered.

If you look at the pictures it's obvious the solar panels are too large to carry on the bike so it's really a bit of hype perhaps to say it's a solar powered motorcycle.
Beats coal powered electric motorcycle. The green hype is getting ridiculous though. Pretty soon everything in the grocery store is going to be labeld hybrid. Of course all farm crops and animals have been hybrid since like , the babylonians.

To me it's silly to call something solar powered if you're not carrying the solar panels on-board.

Maybe one could call it "solar charged."
I spoke with this guy at the show, and since he wasn't selling the bikes it didn't bother me that he called it a solar-powered bike. I guess he could have called it the Remote-Fusion Vehicle :)
I think he had LFP90's? in there!
