Battery check?

I bought an XM3000 from Pittsburgh Extreme Scooters and after riding it for three weeks the Thunger sky "intelligent" charger burned up. While I'm waiting for the new one I'd like to check my batteries to see if the charger failure damaged them. They say they are covered by a warrenty but there is no info on how you check them to tell you if and when they should be sent back. Has anyone else had a blown charger or bad batteries that could explain how this situation goes? You guys like reikman and spark5 should get together and correlate all this info. You could easily write a sservice manual that could be sold. I know I'd buy it since the owners manual explains very little and has no service info.
