Companies claiming to be specialist insurance companies for Vectrix

I managed to find a decent insurance company when I purchased the Vectrix via electricscooterinsurance.co.uk.

One thing I did notice from searching around is that there were loads and loads of companies out there who claimed to be Vectrix Expert insurers, however when contacted I was normally met with "Whats that then?"

One guy actually got very rude and demanded that I show him, on their own company website which said they were Vectrix Specialist insurers. When I did he denied all knowledge saying he had never heard of it, then hung up!

So why do companies jump on this bandwagon without even informing their frontline staff?

This has been visited often - Vectrix UK promoted 2 agencies, both of which initially refused to believe the bike existed, and one (the AA) said it was a grey import! Laughable, if it wasn't a serious subject. The company you are now with, whom I also found after a long search (West Humberstone Agencies) were only starting to cover Vectrix but they've plenty of experience now!
