I went to the San Francisco Auto Show yesterday and they had an electric scooter company called ELV Motors on display near the Pontiac area. elvmotors.com out of Santa Clara I think.
They mostly has e-bikes but there were three scooters, a two hub 800watt model, a 3000w rear hub, and a really neat hybrid model with I think a 1600w hub and 149cc GAS engine.
Claims are 45mph and 130mpg.
