I just got my xb-700 Li today and I noticed a sticker by the "ignition" (key hole) that says some stuff about the canadian regulations and was wondering if any other of your American shipped models had that sticker. I specifically said to the salesman I did NOT want the Canadian model (500 watt motor). So if anyone can give me some feedback on this I would appreciate it thank you. :D also the truck driver sure wanted to see what kind of bicycle weighs 200 lbs. had his Knife ready to go and all. lol :D

sorry the sticker is on the "glove box".
Congrats!!. I sincerely hope yours treats you as well as mine has treated me. 560 miles and no problems, "knock knock". As far as the sticker goes, I don't remember that sticker. I had one on the glove box but was very quick to remove it and I don't remember what it said. Sorry. The side labeling on your scooter should indicate what it is and if it says XB 700 Li then I would believe it.
Wear a good helmet and safe scooting. Enjoy!! Scott.
:? well the Canadian model is said to ship with a 500 watt motor (doesn't say 700watts governed to 500watts) but they still call it the xb-700 so that really doesn't convince me and a sticker on the glovebox Quoting Canadian laws and codes does concern me, since I paid for a 700 watt motor not an xb-500 right? Thats like $700-$800 dollar difference. Also it looks like it got hit with a hand grinder in spots and the windshield came all scratched and not even isometric. The bad side is so obvious It makes me wonder if the company even has Quality control. :O The handlebars were just dangling in the dash by the wiring not zip tied to the shipping frame like others thus it bent the dash opening and some of the wires going down into the dash from the handlebars are compromised to the core due to the neglect to properly secure the handlebars to the frame, not severed but the wire sleeving rubbed/worn away highly diminishing the life of the product.
Also the throttle seems like its missing a bushing at the very end of the handle bar, causing the throttle to wiggle, not secure like the other side thus making it "Feel" awkward to turn. Highly unstable feeling when your grip wiggles you think its going to fall off at any moment. Highly unimpressed and somewhat ticked off I am. I will post you all on how this gets handled. A new bike or My money back. I didn't pay for Trash or something that is Trashed. and this thing is pretty trashed for being Brand new with a $1649.00 price tag :(
Uniprox, sorry to hear about the problems but not surprised.l I don't know if you read about my dilema with the hub motor conking out after two months and having to get the Iowa Attorney General involved.
I have to give Alpha/Extreme credit. They did reimburse me for the hub motor and now I have a spare in just in case.
The quality control has much room for improvement. I love the bike but not the headaches early on. Good luck on thye ticket getting the bugs worked out on yours.
Happy scooting in any event.

Did you unplug the thin blue jumper at the controller under the seat? Randel Hanford Ca
No I have not taken the seat off to look for that. It really is the last concern now that the horn/blinkers/alarm are all not working and the throttle is now loose in the direction you pull it. Called Alfa products left 2 messages on mon/tue no word from them.
now pursuing other methods, possibly Benmarts way with the Iowa State Attorney General office, also the credit card used to purchase the Bike has buyer protection looking in to that as well. Thank you all for your help and info. Will let you know how it goes.
Wow, the horror stories are starting to worry me a little. I just topped 640 miles on mine without a hitch. But then again, who knows, it could die on me on the way to work in the morning. Oh well, I will keep riding it till I can't. I hope things turn out to your liking.
Scott.
Well the Bike stoped moving yesterday. The lights come on but thats it no throttle what-so-ever. Bob from Alfa products responded to my first ticket with "whatever is wrong with the Bike happend during shipping." and went on to say send pics and well send you the parts to make your bike look new again. o.O Did he even read the part that said the horn/blinkers/alarm was all failing? well well see what he says on mon. when he reads that the bike is dead but the battery is full. Also the card used to buy the bike is buyer protected by the Federal govt.
well they have agreed to an RMA but i am still highly suspicious.... they havent quoted how much the original shipping cost is only that they wont refund that. The bike left this morning we shall see what happens next. After all that they have done to prevent honoring any warranty they claim to provide i dont trust them at all and can see further trouble/denial on their part. I posted a blog entry with the full ticket for all to view.
