Re: Single Cell Charger & Adding Batts to my XM-3500Li
Hi lenny, Yeah I've noticed the same thing. I think it's mostly the denser air at lower temperatures, coupled with reduced battery performance as well. Glad to hear your still running well...same here.
Take care- Bill
You know, denser air could very much be part of the equation as well. Part of my commute takes me on a very lovely stretch of Lakeshore Drive right on the shore of Lake Ponchartrain and often that ends up being a slightly slower part of the drive as well. I figured in part it might be because of a little extra wind coming off the lake, but I get it even when it's like glass out there. And to be honest it seems like the resistance I feel on my chest is often a little more noticeable on that part of my drive when there is no noticeable wind, so the additional humidity could very well be contributing to a little 1-2 mph or so loss on my top end for that part of the drive.
3500 is dropped and no BMS on the 4000 that I can see. Contact the distributor to confirm. The best choice by far is still the 3500 for $2349.
You can't buy the batteries for that. Look at this reply requesting the price of ONE CELL;
"You will need part number XM3500-200 for $199.
Thank you,
Jonathan

If you are going to buy a scoot, you are going to kick yourself in a few days when they are all gone. Or maybe the price isn't a consideration for you?

Johnny;
Thank you for the reference. This guy is very close to me. My only caution is Lacey, Washington is the total contact info. No address, no phone number, no name. There are lots of Thunder Sky batteries that fail OEM requirements (less than 90% rated capacity) which get shipped to the aftermarket. For me, no name, address, phone number = NO BUSINESS.
Yes, I know Jennifer at Elite, they are a serious company and now their prices are very competitive.
Especially since Evcomponents charges an extra 10% on the price for freight, customs etc...
I don´t know if Elite sells the new Yttrium TS-cells...could be a disadvantage if they don´t...
Glad to know that our 2008 XM3500li still alive, and 2009 XM3500li is better quality !
2010 XM3500li are coming with PCM BMS and perfect shock absorber !

Hello -
As of today I only find "discontinued" 2009 XM 3500Li online, or, the XM 4000Li.
Is there a new 3500 model on the way, or, does the 4000Li have a PCM BMS?
thank you!

http://elitepowersolutions.com/distributors.html These guys are $50, have an address, name and phone number, plus offer a discount on 20 cells.
