I Want to get rid of my Z-30!

I have had my Z-30 for six months now and have had nothing but trouble! At this point I feel it is time to cut my losses. If there is any one in the Georgia area that would like this scooter let me know. In the first six months of having this scooter; the charger connection has fried. Had to replace it with a bigger connection plug. The center stand has broke at a weld and it had to be redone. Now the rear brake caliber is leaking fluid. I believe the piston seals are leaking inside the caliber. EVT America is not returning my emails and local scooter shops say they can't get the parts to fix it. So I am stuck with a lemon! This is my first experience with a scooter and I will not get another one -- if I can get rid of this one! Any help or advise will be appreciated. But my main goal is to get rid of this Z-30.

Re: I Want to get rid of my Z-30!

In my quest to find parts for the Z-30 I have discovered what makes this scooter different from other scooters. It is the rear disc brake. I can find parts for the front brakes in several places. Several types of gas powered scooter parts will work with the Z-30. However the rear brakes are different than most. And the rear disc on the right side of the bike seems to be unique.

Re: I Want to get rid of my Z-30!

There is an old old saying that goes: The love of money is the root of all evil. It originated in the Bible in the new testament at 1 Timothy 6;10 and never was it more true than in the EV industry. Time after time companies form and design and build an electric vehicle, probably with the best of intentions, but somewhere along the way their love for profits and money outweighs their love for truth, honesty, their fellow man, and the success of the EV industry. As a result they produce a product with components that are inadequate for the application or one that falls apart and/or is nothing but trouble for the owner. So what did they really gain? A few hundred thousand bucks maybe but they sold their souls for it, and sold out the EV industry once again. I would not give up on an electric scooter just yet but I can tell you that I will not buy any more Chinese no name scooters or any thing else. Hopefully Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki or Suzuki will introduce one in years to come...then you could trust that it will have quality components. If you can't wait then I suggest you buy a used Japanese gas scooter and convert it using Quality components. That's the only way you can be sure that you will have a scooter that is everything it should be. It may even cost you less. I have heard Nova Scooters is a good company too. Good Luck! Re: I Want to get rid of my Z-30!

UPDATE: I now have my scooter Z-30 fixed. I was able to find the parts at "partsprousa.com" They were quick to respond to a support question and the parts came quickly even with the cheapest Fed-ex rate. They don't list EVT Scooters has a model they carry parts for. However, they have photos to compare the part you need. The only thing I had to do is change a mounting bracket and bolt on the new caliper.
On May 20th I contacted EVTA without success. June 3rd I made the post above about the trouble I was having. June 4th I did receive an Email from Andres at EVTA stating he would send the part if he had it in stock. June 9th ordered parts from partsprousa. June 12th parts arrived from partsprousa. EVTA still a NO SHOW!
EVT America has a pretty web Site but some of their claims for parts and support, well lets just say they are questionable! Very Questionable!
