Im a first time builder looking to construct a 36v electric bike using deep cycle lead acids problem is Im currently on a caribbean island and finding deep cycle lead acid batteries NOT boat size is a horror. Any other suggestions of what type of batteriess I could use ?? and no LiFePO4 packs is not an option..Im betting they will be alot of stress to ship and get pass customs :(

By 'bike' do you mean some kind of motorcycle or a bicycle? The one you linked is a high power battery useful for racing. Are you looking for high speed? If not there are other batteries more suitable for lower power rates.

I'm assuming you have the transmission (chains, sprockets, gears, belts W.E) figured out. If you know your motor voltage just get enough volts. Is that battery 6 or 12 volts? I'm sure you can do the division. Lifepos are really about as good as it gets.

I Googled
SLA Battery
and the 2nd item is
www.apexbattery.com
which seems to list hundreds of SLAs.
