Re: do you have replies to your Emails to zerox company ?

Many companies these days just ignore e-mails sent to them by prospective buyers. I recommend you do what I do, and not spend any money whatsoever with their company. Hopefully they'll all go bankrupt, and the only companies left will respond to e-mails sent by prospective buyers like you and I. Remember also that if they won't answer a question from someone who is willing to give them money, guess what will happen if/when you have a problem with the product you bought from them. That's right, you'll be ignored in exactly the same way.;)

I did not get any reply to my email nor did I get any response to my demo ride request through their online signup request form. I got an automated reply for the newsletter signup and that was it. It is unfortunate that customer service has such a low priority.

Hi Robert,
in fact I have email them several times in early july ... I had a general rply and nothing else, it is easy to brodcast on you tube and to make a lot of communication and less easy to be a real company and then to reply to any inquiery, I won't buy anything to those guy's as a matter of fact, I don't want to be let out in the cold with my bikes once I get it , if anybody can get one in France one day .

at east I feel less lonly if we are 2 in the same situation .
all those companies are small starts up companies, like vectrix , buying anything to them is a risk, and as robert is saying if they don't reply when you are ready to pay them what will they do if you call them asking for support once you've bougth the bike .
seriously I am thinking of either getting involve in batt pack home building and implement it of any cheat second hand ev, either waitting till a real bike or auto company start to sell an ev .
here in france renault, peugeot, and citroën have solded electric cars in the 90's and it is still possible to get spares batt pack, spares parts and everything needed 5 years after they stopped production .
venctrix has just stopped production and it is impossible for a friend of mine to get parts .... even the polish company does not replies to the dealer telephone calls ...
I had a short hope in the zeroX bikes but after a couple of mails I just realised that it was again a small business who's future is incertain and who's reactivity is nill ;
anyway

Jean Mi, the size of the company isn't very important. Both small and large companies can have good, or even very good, customer service. What matters is whether the company actually cares anything at all about its customers, or whether the company only cares about its customers (or potential customers') money. There are actually some very good small companies out there, selling both EV's and EV parts. You just have to look a little harder for them, it seems.

Re: do you have replies to your Emails to zerox company ?

Morning,
I did not get any email from Zero back too and I started to wonder if the whole thing is just a PR Duck! You know quirky website
and some prototypes, exiting PR but not much behind! I had another look on their website and found a list of 3 dealer in the UK
and I gave them a call, the outcome was ZERO! I mean nobody picked up the phone, Friday early afternoon, normally a good time to
get somebody to speak to you, I would think! But no, nobody answered on the other end.
Then I noticed that the website is now translated in to German and French and I said yes may my German friend in Berlin, who works
in the EV Industry had may heard something about ZERO, so I called him and we had an interesting chat about this subject.
My friend heard quiet strong rumors that Zero got picked up by an German Investor, that the bikes are not in production yet because
they want to produce the bike in Europe ( Poland ) and are waiting that the plant becomes ready for production. I have ask what take them so long? What is the point of all this PR than and the the Website and so on! If the polish plant is still not ready and they have to wait this long that some Polish mans are getting ready !!?? Why not simply go to another plant, I would think they are more
of plenty about!? I simply took the mickey out of him! But he told me it is a special plant because the VX1 from Vectrix gets build there!! and I said so what?? He advised me that I have to have a look on this forum for further information regarding the vectrix subject and how this is connected to ZERO ( he told me that I have to read specially the commends from a Guy with the User name Marcopolo) and also that in the UK is a company what calls ZEV Ltd, my friend told me that Alex Bamberg who runs ZEV could help me to purchase a Zero in the near future!
I said fine and gave it a go, first I have googled ZEV Ltd and I have found them under www.zevltd.com. At this point I was quiet
happy with the outcome of my research, but than i started to read all this threads in the Vectrix forum, specially the commends of this Marcopolo Guy, he even mentions Alex Bamberg twice as EX MD of Vectrix UK, that he got dismissed by the VectrixCorp......
I can not help myself, please don't understand me wrong, but here is going something very strange on!!!
They are so many Members of this forum PRO Vectrix and only one Member (Marcopolo) CONTRA??
Forgive me people for my debut on this forum, but i think that Marcopolo, Alex Bamberg ( and also his Partner who is mentioned on the ZEV website, "Chris" ) and the information what I received from my friend ( that the Vectrix plant in Poland is getting ready
to produce ZERO motorcycles) and the German Investor seems well connected!
I will lease with my friend again and will try to get some more info out of him!

best regards Klaus Schiller

Re: do you have replies to your Emails to zero company ?

Maybe it has to do with the location -- I live in California -- I sent an email requesting info and got a reply right away. I was told that there is a dealer in Los Gatos, CA called Sustainable Cycles, (408) 358-7376.

I contacted this dealer (robertperez09 [at] comcast.net) regarding a test-ride and I received a reply offering a test ride of the dirt bike, but I wrote back telling them that I am more interested in the street version.

Hopefully they'll reply again soon so I can do a test ride (I'll post a comment here comparing it to my Vectrix).

Good luck!

I too just got an email from the local Denver, CO rep about May test drive on the 22nd. He said he will have one of the 2010 DS bikes for demo. I will definitely sign up and write a comparison to the Vectrix.

Re: do you have replies to your Emails to zerox company ?

I used their "contact us" webform with a tech enquiry (does it require a pure sine wave inverter generator to charge it or will a modified square wave be ok?). I got a very prompt response telling me that demo rides are being organised in my area soon. I emailed them back and said that I already bought one, and it was a technical enquiry, not a request for a demo ride. Got another email straight away asking what the enq was (it seems that my initial webform had been discarded somewhere in their computer systems). So I emailed straight back with the enquiry. That was 3 weeks ago and not a peep out of them since. Still don't know what type or size of generator to buy.

So it seems the factory is not very good at dealing with communication. However the importer in Australia has been fantastic. Never more than hours to respond and usually minutes.

=:)
