I'm planning to upgrade my 900w heinzmann kit with a crystalyte X-5304R-DB, Phoenix Cruiser Motor with disc brake.
What do you think of using it with a X-CT7240D 72V 40A Phoenix Speed Controller?
That's 3000 Wh of power.

The only suitable battery I can find to give this amount of power are the kokam.
This 10 Ah 36v 2.2 kg pack looks a good solution. The bms is limiting 30 aH, but in fact the battery can handle 50 Ah peak discharge. With two packs in series I can get 74v at 30 Ah, 2200 W of power.
Is anybody running a crystalyte at 72v? Is it performing ok?

the one in the video is equipped with 72v, 25amp controller, with two 37v, 8.2ah battery pack.
There are at least three version 36-72v 40amp controller that I know, many be more
- analog 36-72v 40amp
- digital 36-72v 40amp
- digital 36-72v 40 amp with 12x 4110 mosfets, capable handle 100amp)
The best combination that we have done with the following :
- digital 36-72v 40 amp 12x 4110
- dual 37v, 10.5ah lithium battery
- parallel and series relay switch (parallel for uphill and distance) and (series for speed)
- on/off handle bar switch
- either with BMC 600W motor or Crystalyte 5304 motor

Can this controllers suport cruiser control? Regerative braking? and cruised control regenerative (long downhill)?

I would like to try 72V and 40-50 amp controller. I'm happy with my
LifePO4 48V 20AH. I guess if I could haul around another battery pack
the extra juice and mileage would be cool.
As far as R's comment, you could look up "doctorbass" and ask him
how to configure the relay switch setup.
