Let's keep clean the rest of threads.
Here is a suitable space for you both. Who has the balls to start?

Yes!
More of the "M vers R Show"
Better entertainment than any reality show!
The raving redneck and the calm, logical, reasoned informed gentleman. Just don't know which is which.
Come on guys, into it, don't hold back, controversy is what we all like to see.
We have Mik and Xvectrix for the techincal discussions and M & R for fun, I can't wait.

Cheers

Paul

I couldn't stop myself from pointing out this: "R" stands for Rebel, not me... ;-)

Marco and Rebel, your balls are getting smaller and smaller every second that goes ahead and you keep on evading your nice battle here...

'R' I just came across this thread.

Thanks for your interest, but I don't actually have a debate with Rebel. My posts are either factual (and this is evidenced by subsequent events) or clearly stated as just my opinion. If my opinion is based on incorrect information or I've drawn the wrong conclusion, I am pleased when someone shows me where I am inaccurate or misled. That is the purpose of debate, to listen and learn.

I don't have a 'side'! Vectrix was a business, not a religion, cause or even sporting team!! No amount of pious faith or ardent cheering, will alter anything! The passions aroused are understandable, but irrelevant, unless the supporter happens to have millions of dollars to back his passion! However, the analysis of the success or failure of EV enterprises, is very important for future development and investment. The reasons why Vectrix failed are highly significant, because Vectrix was very well capitalised and if it failed due to bad management, and timing, there is hope that better managed company can survive and prosper. On the other hand if Vectrix failed because the market is not ready to accept a two-wheel mass volume EV, then that's a different matter altogether.

This analysis, will be very important to the success or failure of "New Vectrix'.

Obviously, like you, I am very interested in EV development. My critisim of Vectrixcriticism was always aimed at the Corporate problems, not the concept of the product. That some people missed this in their passionate defence of the Captain and crew of the Titanic, is not really my concern, just as we have had a large number of recently joined posters, (who disappear just as quickly), proclaiming loudly that the good Ship Vectrix wasn't sinking, just changing course downwards! Well, despite all thier denials, it sank! New Vectrix, will hopefully prosper, and continue to develop the VX1, (but without 95% of the previous management personal). Sadly, the shareholders will have lost over $200 million, and the dealers/distributors and other creditors about the same!

So as I say, there is no debate with "Rebel" since he has no discernible facts or argument. But he is fully entitled to yell crap! at anyone (even if he can't say why) he is allowed to even make up wild conspiracy theories, (for those who interested) and more importantly he is just entitled to his opinion!!

How can you argue with the sort of logic of his last post?

IE: Hey Guys this is just getting interesting .
Don't take off of here yet as I am very near to revealing Mr polos id.
I will have to choose my moment Carefully.
Steve i wouldn't bother waiting in for that call because it ain't goin to happen , he hasnt got the balls to come on here and be open about his ID its because he has a very alterier motive
.

No can we all move on, and see what New Vectrix may bring??

Anyway, Marcopolo, i think the first thing that should happen is that Rebel himself should tell us who he is if he is asking you to reveal yourself and he doesnt seem to have much intention of revealing himself. The opinions are what count, who someone is, is totally another matter unless there are more serious transactions than "opinions" in the form of words.

True, very true.... hey, by the way, the new Vectrix logo, looks very professional, and seems to have always been there! Maybe the new owner will adopt it for NV !

'R' Since you seem intrigued by debate, it is interesting to note that nearly all the UK cheer squad seem to have disappeared or have changed direction dramatically. (I hope you withdraw your comment above, but please in view of that, stop encouraging people to reveal themselves!!Ugh)

An example of this is the obscurely named 'Jim Knopf'

When I first suggested that vectrix was headed for disaster and bankruptcy was looming, he wrote:

Fri, 07/17/2009 - 02:51
hmmm, it seems that you run out of players!? I do love my bike, I have it now for nearly one year and not a single problem with it! Its is a great product and I wish Vectrix all the luck in the world, so that they will keep trading in the future. I have watched this forum now for more than 3 days and I am very surprised that "Marcopolo" as an "Investor" and "Shareholder" of Vectix has so much time and energy left to spend all this time in this forum in these days! I really do wonder if an Vectrix "Investor" would not may act in a completely different way, than to rubbish the CEO of the company, who he has invested his money!! Very, very strange!!
Fri, 07/17/2009 - 19:58
Marcopolo" i really do question your intentions! One time "Shareholder and Investor" next time "companies in several countries"
"bought 17 bikes" In YOUR position, I would pray for a good outcome!
I speak for people they do own bikes and not just only 17, they all are happy with it and the service Vectrix has provided, for sure they are very concerned about that what happens at the moment, they have all the right to be concerned!
The "show" you here is in my opinion a " personal Hate campaign " with the lowest value I ever came across! To tell some one off for wishing a Company all the luck in world, tells me that the only one that has to become real is "Marcopolo" him self, There is a lobby for Vectrix and you will not change it my friend! All your " big bubbles" give me the impression from a very poor man, who got"stepped on his far to big tail"!
07/28/2009
Marcopolo is just a Pretender!

Contrast that to his latest post in response to my comment that New Vectrix should be given every opportunity to succeed, and hopefully emerge from chapter 11, with a euro-made improved VX1.

Let' s try to stay with the post on topic Guys, stay with the facts!
The bankruptcy petition has to be approved, if this does not happen and if there is no other APA from another party, which could be signed
of by the Court, then the whole case can drop under Chapter 7 and that would mean, NOVectrix, NOWarranties, with other words end of
the subject Vectrix as a Company!
When this is the case, than all assets will come under the auction hammer ( Chapter 7 ) and whoever puts the highest bid in for various assets can do afterwards what he likes with his assets
!

What relationship Jim has to an ex-vectrix employee P Dunmore, I neither know, nor care, but it is interesting to note that the change in ole Jim's position, reflects the change in position by Vectrix CEO, Mike Boyle!

Now, 'R' we've all had our fun, I agree with John, this sort of thread is entertaining, but i think you will agree, baiting each other, doesn't really do any of us great credit. The authors, or the audience, (sorry Paul).

Ah, OH dear Paul, it would appear that 'Rebel" has disappeared, along with "Whitewash", 'Mr Frost', Jim Knopf, the "Radically Mad Chipmunks" and all the other useless time-wasting braggarts. Perhaps the most revealing fact is that they may have all been the same person, or at least a cheer group for the hugely supported UK based pro-E-Max/Mike Boyle cheer squad.

Sad to say, events have developed exactly as I predicted, but it would be nice to have just a little acknowledgement from honest dis tractors, such as "R', that my posts stove for accuracy and accuracy.

Sad that we never heard from John Schnoor. Such insights would have been fascinating.

Hehe, to some extend Marco was right. Now that the war for the vectrix corpse is completely over... Marco itself has completely disappeared, (officialy under litigation against the ancient vectrix)... how curious! The forum is a little quiet without these rattling posts, I'm starting to miss them... Marco... I still want to have a glimpse of your vectrix... Is your vectrix still performing nicely? ;-)

Re: Open thread: MARCOPOLO VS REBEL

Thank you for your kind sentiments!

Of course, like everyone else, we are all still awaiting the final outcome of the Chapter 11 process.

Congratulations to Wolfgang Gohl and his factory team in Poland. It's makes good logic to recommence a marketing arrangement, with an established distributor in the UK. The UK was always Vectrix strongest, most suitable and best conducted market. I guess only time will tell if Vectrix mark 2 can succeed as a mass-production volume selling product, or will remain a specialist niche manufacturer.

Yes, because I am in involved in litigation against a number of the previous directors of Vectrix, I should respect legal protocol, and refrain from comment while that process is in progress. Also, my main complaint was against the previous CEO of Vectrix, Mike Boyle ,and his cronies. With his departure, and the threat from e-max defeated, what is left to write about, since all his stooges have largely disappeared or are discredited ?

However, I do contribute regularly to this forum on other issues. I am not an engineer, so mostly I just concentrate on reading what others, more knowledgeable than me, write about technical matters. Since most posts relating to complex engineering or technical issues, are often way beyond my technical area of expertise, I don't have anything useful to contribute.

Alas, our fleet of VX 1's are not doing that well ! Many are being cannibalised for a lack of spare parts. We are in discussions with the new guys at 'new Vvectrix', and given time we should see real progress.

I remain just as steadfastly committed to the success of EV transport, and I still take and active role in promoting EV investment, despite the current difficult economic climate.
