"Today Brammo announced a staggering 33% price drop on the Brammo Enertia. The once $11,995 electric motorcycle now retails for $7995 before tax credits. The federal tax credit brings it down to $7195 and aggressive tax incentives in states like Oregon will see $5695. 24 month 0% financing is also available with $2000 down and $250 / month."

There has alse been talk of a Brammo scooter soon.
If they could give us a high quality electric scooter for $3000 or $4000 I would be interested.
Can you say VAPORWARE? and
customer provided interest free loans for Brammo?
The rhetoric has always been "next quarter"... after
a year of "next quarter"'s I got my full deposit back and
that was almost 2 years ago.....
it seems to be all marketing hype and graphical design awards....
I dont know about you but I like to be where the rubber meets
the road.....
I want to test drive my potential purchase with the ability to purchase and drive it away on the same day.
Until I can do that, my credit card is vaporware.
That being said, I would love for this to end well.
@Galago - Not sure what you mean by "vaporware." They've been selling these bikes at selected Best Buy stores in Portland, Oregon and in Los Angeles, California, and the bikes are on display (but can't be sold due to BBY's failure to obtain the proper dealership license -- soon to be remedied) in two Bay Area Best Buy stores. Plus, you can order one online via Brammo.com if you don't happen to live in California or Oregon. They've already delivered over 100 of them.

Any news on the scooter?
Haven't heard a whisper about the scooter. Funny, the only time I heard anything about it was when Asphalt and Rubber reported it. I'm sure it's real... just never heard anything from the real Brammo people about it.

Don't quite understand why your credit card is vaporware. Isn't that a term for something that is hyped but doesn't exist? Maybe I'm missing something...
Anyhow... you CAN test drive and purchase and drive it away from Best Buy. Are you saying that you're not located near one of the Best Buys that is carrying the bike?
I would love for this to end well too... wait, what are we talking about?

I should not be so snarky.
I was just implying that my credit card would not be used until the product was available and I could test drive it and drive away on it that day, if satisfied.
I am in Canada so that's part of the problem. Are you going to sell them through Best Buys in Western Canada?
My real interest is your scooter. I don't really want to bother with a full motorcycle license and insurance.
A nice high quality scooter would fit the bill perfectly. Anything new you can tell us about your scooter?
We won some graphical design awards!? Holy crap! When? Why wasn't I notified of this? Let me know where to go to collect my prize...

Brian, are you still up to your Photoshop antics? Nice use of the "cloning" tool to make it look like there's more than one of your nonexistent bikes.

I assume your tongue is firmly wedged in cheek?

Yep, David, it is. We all know that Aaron Bland is the one who does the photoshopping at Brammo. Recently he's stepped it up and done some video hijinx where it looked like Jay Leno got a Brammo Enertia LE. We all know that the Brammo Enertia LE doesn't exist and that Jay Leno died in 2003.
(That's also a joke)

I really hope Brammo does well and is able to become a successful electric motorcycle company...
and maybe offer a new model in the near future...hint, hint with street legal attire...aero flush mount lighting & competitive pricing, unlike the Mavizen 2010 priced at over $41,000 USD.
A monkey can dream, can't he
Interesting string of negative posts... on an electric vehicle fan blog!
It is strange though, that "a hundred of them have been delivered" and yet there's not one photo on this blog showing an owner with his new toy. Also, I just did a search YouTube - there's not one video of a Brammo owner either...
I live near a Best Buy that claims they have them in stock - they called me the other day to tell me. I plan on going there next weekend - I'll take some pictures, video and do some blogging afterwards....
I'd be more interested in one at that price, but the lack of a two-person seat is a big drawback for me. Still, it is a great-looking E-motorcycle.
Were you able to make it to Best Buy for that test ride? We'd be curious to hear your impressions! You're right, not many owners on this forum, but you can find some here: http://www.elmoto.net/forumdisplay.php?f=37
Here's a youtube video posted by an owner as well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0d8ZHcHGiVQ

I must say, vaporware or not, the Empulse is "I want one!"
If your only tool is a hammer
everything looks like a nail.
