What kind of errors do you have?
What USB/Can did you buy?
Be precise please...

Re: USB/CAN install problem

Hi Harry,

Did you get an installation CD with your CAN/USB cable? You will need the software to be installed for the drivers. Once the correct part of the drivers (CAN/USB) are installed, then connect the USB end of the cable to the PC and do not yet connect the other end to the bike until you have a steady light on the P-CAN box.

The other rather important bit of software you will need is the Proprietary Vectrix Scooterdiag program which will then be able to read the data the P-CAN is collecting. You will also need this software to install any software updates or change any parameters. Without it you are stuffed unless you can figure out a way to 'crack' into the codes. There is also a regimen to follow when installing the Vectrix Scooterdiag and again an order to follow when updating software which, if not followed could bugger up you motor controller which would need a factory reset/flash.

Sorry if you haven't got everything you need.

Re: USB/CAN install problem

Thank you all. I did get it installed albeit not using the factory supplied CD but with the generous support by The Laird on this forum. Once the Canbus Adapter was nstalled the scooterdiagnosis program worked just fine.
