For better or for worse, we acquired 2 EV Global 24v Ebikes earlier this summer. I am not much of a DIYer but I am willing to learn. One bike works fine, for now. The other worked for a while, but now the battery won't charge up. When plugged in the charger shows a green light and no fan comes on, but when inserted into the bike, only power for a brief second. From reading this forum, it sounds like my battery might be gone.
Is there anything I can do to get the charger going again on the battery? We really like the bikes and have enjoyed them up to now. Hopefully we can get them going again. Thanks for any advice or tips!

Have you confirmed the battery is charged? It should show about 26V.
Have you swapped the batteries between the two bikes to confirm the problem is the battery and not the bike?
I have found the bike-to-battery contact on the EV Global to be a bit iffy.
I have also had problems when the cut-off switch on the brake handle is not adjusted properly or is loose.

Thanks for the replies, finally cleaned up the contact point between bike frame and battery and now they are at least charging. I will ck the voltage soon but we have rode the bikes now and they are doing OK.

Yes I had the same problem when I first got my 24v. For advice on fixing the original try gabrial mouchewar, he's on this forum and Endless Sphere. Or you can hunt around for replacement parts. Or just charge with new SLA's with another charger. But the SLA's actually are a pain in the ass, I got quality new ones even they didn't last that long, and not that cheap. So I splashed out on a nimh battery pack and had a blast. this is a couple years ago.
I have the batteries for sale now on ebay if you could use them:

In your case, the cells I have for sale could work either as 2 x 24v 13ah packs (ie one per bike), or as 1 24v 26ah pack (for one bike, super long range!). I used them as a 48v 13ah pack but you couldn't do that on your bikes as is. If you want them, I can help sort that out - real easy, I have all the connectors. Also I have a nimh discharger for sale, which is handy for keeping all the cells in tiptop condition.
