FORSEN USA looks to have a Vectrix alternative

FORSEN USA looks to have a Vectrix alternative. I emailed them for a price and Andy emailed back saying that the cost is $7K and only comes with 48volt Lithium batteries. Supposedly goes 50mph+ and a range of about 30-40 miles at that speed. Looks to be a litle larger than an EMax and looks to have 13 inch wheels. Probably the same scooter that EVADER was coming out with as the EXO8. Enjoy and God Bless :)

`JDELUNA
Thanks, will it be mfg in Taiwan also and do you have a link to it.
BTW, I see Vectrix is also going to be mfg in China, so maybe the cost will start coming down.

Peace Out,
Gman

Whoa, that front end looks remarkably similar to my Reflex! Might be a little smaller, though...it's difficult to tell the scale in the photos.

Re: FORSEN USA looks to have a Vectrix alternative

While doing some video searches on google, I came across this video. It may actually be the same model or type of scooter as this new one from Forsen. Looks to be smaller than a Honda Reflex scooter but just a tad larger than the Emax scooter. Looks to be pretty nicely built from the short video. Enjoy and God Bless :)

Proton please give us more information, etc. Also you say ....." please don't allow vectrix to race me, I would hate for them to look bad....be very afraid".....

Are you saying that this scooter would out accellerate the Vectix ?? If so, Vectrix claims a 0-50mph of about 6.8 seconds, looking at the video that I posted, the scooter in there, I estimate it to be doing a 0-50mph of about 23 seconds. Just my observation. God Bless :)

Proton is just a shill for FalconEV. Trying to sell his stuff. We need some independent verification of this product before we comment on it.

By the way, Proton, why don't you spend some time and clean up that mess of a website you have. It's very unprofessional. I wouldn't buy from you based on that alone.

Not a shill, I AM falconev, get used to it
I would not sell to anyone on this board anyway, (bluelite shoppers)

Re: FORSEN USA looks to have a Vectrix alternative

Yep - this ain't no Vectrix alternative.

The one interesting thing about this is that if it does come with LiFEPO4 batteries as standard then it probably is worth around $4000 to $4500. Otherwise it's about the same (but just a little better) as an XM2K or a Z20 with much better styling.

But it's still not a true maxi-scooter.

If I were going to build a maxi-scooter here's what I'd do:

1) Buy a 150cc maxi-scooter from someone like this - probably around $1500
2) Buy an electric motor kit from someone like this - probably around $1500 (minus batteries but with controller, throttle, motor (Etek or Perm132) and wiring harness)
3) Buy 60v of 40Ah of batteries from the same folks - probably around $2000
4) Not sure about BMS and charger - budget $500 for those
5) Get to work on the conversion - budget another $500 for that

So, at the end of the day it would cost around $6000 (1500+1500+2000+500+500) and you'd likely have a bike with maxi-scooter styling, a 50+ mile range and a 70mph top speed. In my mind that's way closer to a Vectrix replacement than proton's smack talking... ;-)

The trouble is the wife would kill me - I don't have the time or funds to undertake such a project right now. But boy would I like to! Any takers?

Re: FORSEN USA looks to have a Vectrix alternative

p.s. that's $2000 for LiFePO4 batteries.

BTW, if I could build a one off for $6000 paying retail prices then I have to think that someone like Tank could do the job for $4000 or less - and be able to sell the bike at $6000 retail for a reasonable profit. Now that would be a Vectrix killer...

Thank you proton - you have quite effectively shown that simply by paying a higher price a consumer cannot necessarily expect to be dealing with a professional. Also, you've cut your market quite significantly by refusing to sell to enthusiasts who read this board.

Yes, come and get an XM2000, but no need to hurry - you'll still be riding an electric scooter before anyone actually rides the latest vaporware/demo model... When (or if) those better bikes show up - sell your XM2K on ebay and buy one if it really turns out to be worth three and a half times the cost of your XM2K.
