Articfox, exactly how much does one specific part on the bike cost? The part I've now screwed over twice is the brake circuit that comes with the bike. The one attached alongside the cantilever brakes on the bike that when used on the left activates the brake lights, and on the right stops the motor and turns on the brake lights.

I figured out what was wrong with the xb-600 and what to fix. On the right handle which functions as the throttle, there are 2 parts to the brake. 1 is a nub that functions to stop the electrical motor and the other is a cantilever brake that stops the bike manually. What was wrong was that somewhere along the line the connection had either gotten loose or stopped completing the circuit. For this reason alone did the bike stop braking normally. I'm now considering two options buy a completely new right hand brake and switch or fix it myself.

I have a relatively new XB-600 and noticed it came with 2 extra fuses: a spade fuse and a glass cylinder fuse. Both look like automotive type fuses.
I do not need to replace a fuse right now, but in the event I ever do, I have these questions:
- How many fuses are on the XB-600?
- Where are they, exactly? Pictures would be ideal.

How good would you guys think the xb-600 is in rain riding?
Also, I've found that my bike goes about ~22mph on regular straightaways. I've been curious as to whether all the bikes do this, or if they just go to 20 at top speed.

I read somewhere that the best procedure for charging the battery is to:
1. Connect the charger to the outlet.
2. Plug charger into the scooter.
Then after charging is complete,
1. Unplug the charger from the scooter
2. Unplug the charger from the outlet.
Is this the best way to do this to protect the scooter electronics?
The charger can be replaced cheaply and with little effort. A controller, on the other hand, is more expensive, and a lot more effort. Would it make sense to use a surge protector with the charger?

greetings, i have a xb600 and today i put my key in neutral and started to wheel my moped out of the garage when the front wheel locked into the right position... i took the key out and half of the ignition came out... the cylinder that the key goes into is obviously broken since I only have 5 pins on my half and I can see more pins still stuck inside... I contacted tech support and they sending me out a replacemnent under warrenty with priority shipping, no hassle.
-1 for crappy key cylinder thing (damn chinese products of awfulness)
+1 for good tech support

Hey everybody....I'm kinda new to the forum, but over the past week I've been reading your posts. I got a used xb-500 for 40$ from a garage sale, and at first I had no idea these things were that popular.
