I'm thinking about getting an xb-600. There will be occasional times in the winter when it is cool and the batteries have less juice where I'll want a bit more range. If I added a battery to take it to 60V, but still drove it at, say 20mph, I am assuming that I would have better range then if I stuck with 48V...am I right? Am I wrong?

I just got a new scooter that seems to be the same as the xtreme xb-500. my scooter Is the xb-500 motor 500w peak and only 350w continous? Sadly that what mine is. 48v brushless with 4 12ah batteries. I'd like more power for hill climbing. I weigh 200 lbs and have to pedal up moderate hills.

So I blew out my last controller by hitting a bump...
Now I started having some issues with my new one (no shunt mod and no 100V caps either). I'm running at 60V, but saw similar problems when i went back to stock 48V. Basically, if I hit a sizeable bump and then hit the throttle some weird stuff occurs. The motor seems to miss. I also noticed that the voltage gauge plummets. It's a bit scary because this is exactly how my last controller died and that ended with me pushing the bike 8 miles.

Hi all, thanks for the most excellent adventure. Right now, I'm still living vicariously through your exploits, modifications, exploding capacitors, and land speed records for stock and modded bikes.

The rear wheel of my XB-700Li tilts a good 5 degrees off vertical. Is this a design feature or a manufacturing defect? No one heavy has ridden on the bike (I am 155 lbs.), and I haven't hit any curbs or large bumps with it. I don't know if it was like this when it was delivered, but I've only taken it out riding three times, so I would suspect so.

Has anyone looked at the XB-700Li controller and determined how to disable the speed governor??? I'm not talking about the "Canada Plug", but the limiter that seems to be built into the controller itself. I would guess that a 48 volt bike with a 700 watt motor should be able to hit 30mph in stock form.

Got the new scoot Friday. Had a rear run light burn out today. The brake filament is still good. Funny thing is when I pulled the bulb out the rating stamp shows 36V. No wonder it burned out. Put in a support ticket...we'll see how that goes for a new lamp.
Any one else notice odd ratings for the lamps on the 700Li? 36v running on 48v will be brighter but won't last as long when used at about 133% of rating input.

Hi Everybody,
Ran across this company advertising on Craig's List. Does anyone know about this firm, Green Scooter, LLC. The bike they are offering looks exactly like the XB700Li. I've sent them an e-mail to see what they have to say. Have to admit, I really like the "RED" as I was never a fan of multi-color paint schemes. http://www.greenscooters.net/index.php
