The worst thing is all the rear end plastic work exploded and since there are no english dealers anymore what do i do. Looks like its fiber glass time .I can weld the damage and add a 4mm gusset to relive the stress on the fraim .Why carnt they build it properly its only got 4009 mils on the clock.I was starting to love the thing then it kicks me in the balls.

the newer Emax have the rear suspension at an angle rather than directly upright.

at 4009 miles it should still be under warranty, even if the dealers no longer actually sell them.

out of curiosity, when did the English dealers pull out?
i wonder if Emax is going under again

I did an all nighter and fixed it in the rain.DSC00003.JPG
All i need now is the rear side panels and pate holder. I
allso noticed were the wire for the motor goes between the swinging arm and the battery box the battery box is misshapen and the wire dont look to happy (all that wight plus leverage on the wire). So the next job is to bash it back to shape so the plastic battery cover fits and give all the fixed bits a coat of paint. Then i might look at that motor wire. No dout it is hard soldared in the motor and un reachable. If it is a splice job under the swinging arm cover will have to do.

is the error message those emax give "hall sensor error"?

if so, thats how mine failed. I took the opportunity to order a new motor and controller, the 60kmh variant this time.

is that still the 48v version are are u talking about the motor with the thicker windings and higher amps but slightly less talk but more speed . I think they used it in the ozzy ones by memory. were did u get it just out of interrest

LIVE LONG AND PROSPER

the 48v version that failed was the original euro version that only did 45kmh.

the 60kmh version in use now is going great, just want a bit more top speed (always want more top speed).

emax made a 60kmh version intended for the australia, us and canada markets.
so we ordered ours directly from emax.

you may be able to do the same, though both motor and controller will need to be replaced.

il look into it thanks for the help.but at the moment iv changed all the lights ect to a 48v 12v dc dc converter and i have a speedo and wheel of a honda touring scooter that will fit . so i could fit a after market wheel and motor (kelly look good) so after that its all after market parts no messing around . its a conundrum. whats ur idea . What did ur conversion cost so i can compair the kelly 4KW 60km wheel and controler costs about £800 ex vat
