China EBikes (cyclone)

I bought two bikes, not running, off craig's list. The one had the throttle and brakes assembly was gone. I lucked out of this bought both, replaced and it worked. the second bike had a fried controller. This unit runs on 24 volt nicads, placed under the seat. I purchased a crystalyte controller and can not figure out how to hook up, the bike has 5 wires coming out of the motor (rear), the controller has only one three wire connector, Oh what to do ??

Can you post some digital pictures of your controller and the motor? That'd help folks a lot!

Will do, I'll get them going tonight, Thanks for the response

Go to the TNC site and look at their controllers. I know they are not Crystalyte, but their will be similarities.

Perhaps the extra wires are a brake power cut-out? When you apply the brakes, the power to the motor is cut? Works if you have a brake handle with the built in switch and plug socket to make the connection. The controller will work if you dont have that, it will just be two extra wires dangling (and power is still on when you panic brake, until you throttle-down)

Or, could be somrthing else...
