Re: 5000W Electric Motorcycle

5000 watts is "most powerful"??? Uh.. my motorcycle runs at power levels from 6000 watts up to bursts of 18000 watts. On the evalbum there are others with similar or higher power levels.

Re: 5000W Electric Motorcycle

Thats a pretty tall claim... of being the most powerful.

I know mine will run at peak power levels above 15kW. The motor can handle more than 20kW peak.

5000W is glorified scooter.

reikiman and I will dethrone you.

HAHAHA.
Good guy, everyone.
I knew that vectrix has a higher power. So I wrote "almost". Except vectrix, I haven't heard about the higher power than 5000W.

Re: 5000W Electric Motorcycle

Agreed. 5kW is kinda weak (relatively speaking). I mean, a couple higher-powered bikes on the ES have more than that. Even I run nearly half of that on a 20lb BMX bike. :/

If anyone is confident your electric motorcycle or electric scooter is more than 5000W, pls provide me your website. Or I can not believe it.

Browse through the member vehicles section.

I believe Andrew's KZ750 conversion is the most powerful bike here, with twin Eteks at 72V and 1100A for a total of nearly 80kW peak.

Saying that it was one of the most powerful PRODUCTION bikes in the world would be pretty accurate, however.

Re: 5000W Electric Motorcycle

My blog has all the details. But 72 volts, 600 amps peak, 150 continuous, 75Ah batteries. D&D ES15-A motor. Do the math.
My components are not special. They are very typical of a large motorcycle conversion capable of highway speeds.

Re: 5000W Electric Motorcycle

Bruce, do you have a web site? Taking the company name you gave above I see some interesting things which may or may not be related to you ...

a listing on diytrade.com -- There's only a 2000w electric scooter (not motorcycle, despite the title that says 'motorcycle') listed

http://www.zselectricbike.com/ ...?

This site also includes info on PEM Fuel Cells and I'm seeing a few (very few) news articles talking about fuel cell developments and research. I'm sure there's a few of us who would like to know more about fuel cell products.
