I'd like to add a headlight modulator when my 3500 arrives, but that pretty much requires that the headlight bulb be a standard automotive 55w type (which is what most motorcycles use).
I'd also like to add additional LED brake/tail lights in back, and white LED running lights up front. They'll run about 5w per LED cluster, but I'm planning on 4 clusters (2 back, 2 front). Can the system drive an additional 20w from the 12v DC side? (I'm planning on Hyper-Lites and Hyper-Whites)
I've thought about putting an HID system onto my current scooter, but HID and Headlight Modulators are not compatible technologies. I like the extra light, but I think the safety gains from the modulator are larger.
On my Mountain Chen 3500w Li scooter there is a DC/DC 12v converter located in the front "head" of the bike where all the main wires run.
I am considering LED bulbs in the future but can't find the time to figure out what kind I need and where to buy...

I'm very interested in this issue as well.

Looks like a good upgrade. Take pics and let us know how the retrofit goes - I'm interested in it too!
