Hi Guys, Newbie's first post so bear with me!
I've bought a 250w 24v Jambuster scooter off ebay for spares repair, with a view to building my daughter a go-kart using the motor and controllers etc. Although we'll use it in a safe, controlled environment, as a neurotic, responsible father I wanted to put a remote kill switch on it so I can kill the power if she gets out of control or won't stop when it's time to go home! I've already used your forum to find out how to lomit the top speed thanks, so she will be safe.
I thought about buying a remote central locking conversion kit off ebay for £25, using one solenoid to pull on the brake cable, applying the brakes and simultaneously killing the power via the brake signal switch on the controller. Anyone tried this or got a different solution?
Before anyone lectures me as has happened on other forums, I am a responsible dad, she's perfectly safe as speed is limited, all moving parts concealed, safe environment, no traffic, thanks!
