XM-3100 Battery

First off, Does anyone have one of these, or have access to one?

It seems that the batteries are referred to as Lithium in some places, and SLA in others.

Thoughts?

Also, any other thoughts about these puppies?

Re: XM-3100 Battery

Mt Chen-- Hello and good to hear from you. If these are the silicone lead batteries you are referring to then yes I have 1.5 years of experience with them. I have them in my e moto 2000kw scooter and I have found them to be unsatisfactory. I have replaced them once, for $500 but they are heavy and they do not hold a charge after 1 years use. I do not recommend them at all.

What's the production date of your replacement batteries ? The date should be showed on battery.

Re: XM-3100 Battery

My XM-3000 batteries have about 1300 km on them (according to odometer), and I can barely do 10 miles after a full charge, without hitting the low-voltage cutoff. My XM-3000 arrived June 2008, so they're about a year old. Since my commute is 10 miles (or ~16 km), this represents about 80 commuting trips (and subsequent recharge cycles). I expected at least 300, so I would rate my battery experience at unsatisfactory.
