Here at Lisbon, all the Vectrix owners have problems with the right handgrip. The rubber is too loose and getting worse. A wire can improve a bit but doesn’t resolve the problem.
I wonder if you guys have also this problem and if you have replaced the rubber… If so, where did you buy that? The importer says that the handgrip cannot be replaced by other… I wonder why? Because of regeneration tuning?
Hi, I have the same problems with the grips during warm weather and sunshine, they start to twist.
The grips can be replaced. See other handgrips (02.04.09).
Greetings Mike
I've noticed that user in Spain... But is there anyplace online where I can buy those? They seem nice and the user is happy...
Thx
Yes, i changed my handgrips on the second day of having the Vectrix, and havent had any problem since.
What i had was a wrong adjusted throttle.
There is no problem in changing the throttle grip.
Could you please tell me the brand, model and where can I find it? I want to buy it...
Sorry I didn't saw your this other answer, so I've moved here...
So if I choose the Harry's performance Fazer, that will fit? I see that are several sizes and diameters... That one that you have bought is 120mm long for 7/8" handlebars?
Another thing... That one in your photo is there also in photo but is not available to buy... :-(
I think most of general grips will fit your Vectrix, i just went to my typical motorbike accesories shop and bought the grips, which i already had in my previous scooter. They are the same like my Honda Scooter. The only thing you can choose is to have the edges closed or cut off (You need cut off because in the Vectrix you have to screw the metal-weight back on)
Before buying anything from the internet, maybe you should try in your local motorbike shop.
Thanks...
Could you explain the wire fix a bit more, please?

HI, greetings from catalunya. My original grips literally melt in my hands. The rubber reacted chemically with my sweat and it got broken.
I bought the cheapest sweat resistant grips in a bikestore and they suit fine. The measures are standard.
I was told that placing a wire is a usual technique on competition to grant optimal grip fixation. Mine was placed at the left (inside depression) of the right grip (I can take a picture if you want). That zone was fixed but in the middle is loose. So I’ve bought a new ones recommended here (Harris), didn’t test it yet...
Get a little tube of grip glue from your local motorcycle shop. I just changed out my grips and put the new ones on with some of the glue --- they are stuck solid. Guy at shop says it takes a razor blade to cut them off in the future. Better than having them loose and twisting...
I'm happy with the new ones and they don't move. No glue needed.
