EB 50-12

Anybody have experience or thoughts on the B&B EB 50-12?

I am considering using 5 of them to create a 60v pack for my possible future scooter. Do they have the same stellar discharge as the EB 20-12 that people rave about in other forums here?

Re: EB 50-12

Can you give more detail. What do you mean by "stellar discharge"?

I would expect B&B EB50-12 to perform very well. I have read of people replacing stock "long" batteries that shipped with the EVT 168 and 4000e models with them and very good results. I use the EVP series batteries for my motorcycle and am very pleased with them. They have sat around for 2 yrs before being used due to my amazing future planning skills. They work super great, and deliver plenty of punch.

Re: EB 50-12

Thanks! I was considering using them in my scooter mod I've been posting about in the Large Scooter section.

I would put together 5 of them for a 60v pack versus 2x5x12v, 20Ah Guineng Silicone batteries. Do you think 5xEB 50-12 would outperform the silicones?

Hi Vinnie, IIRC you have a Emax also or similar, if so and you do the EB 50-12 please let us know how it fits and how you do it with instructions and pictures. Thanks again. God Bless :)

Re: EB 50-12

From what PJD posted about the silicon batteries, I would definitely expect the EB 50-12s to perform better, not only because it is more capacity. However, Guineng may have improved their product quality. In theory the silicon batteries offer some advantages, check what Gman just posted in this forum, and also the Battery Guide. I really don't think the Silicon batteries are anything special at this time, and don't really have any accounts of them being better than B&Bs overall. In some respects, PJD and others have reported that they do live up to their claims such as being able to sit discharged. But they appeared to have poor product quality, and early failures. B&Bs on the other hand have been known to be very good quality.

Re: EB 50-12

Vinnie,

I'm using five of the BB EB50-12's in my EVT 4000e 60 volt pack. They are working fine for me, but I've been using them all along, so I have nothing to compare with. They came with the bike when I bought it from Electric Morotsport over a year ago and I added the fifth battery earlier this year. Works great so far.

Is there a specification sheet for your 20Ah Guineng Silicone batteries available?

Re: EB 50-12

Crusher - great to hear someone has used the EB 50-12 with success. Thank you!

As for specs, Gman, I uncovered 'similar' information but no specifications. I can't seemed to find any data on the Guinengs from the company or anywhere else.
