There are some around, e.g.
www.diytrade.com/china/4/products/8471893/48V_5A_Automatic_and_intelligent_battery_charger.html

It may be cheaper to buy 2 48v 2amp chargers off ebay for $15 each, then wire them in parallel!
Cut the connector off one and join its output wires into the other outputs

Yes you can go straight to the battery, or buy the correct adapater for $2 and solder it on to the charger - its easy to do

I think that I have a few of those xlr connectors laying around. I removed them from chargers and replaced them with computer type plug ins.
If you want an xlr, send me a PM. Also, you can get a 48v 5 ah lifepo4 charger on ebay from lifepo4 battery vendors, but they usually come with a computer style plug in. You'll have to determine polarity and solder accordingly.
You can buy a 48v SLA charger with xlr plug in, but it will only give you about 54 volts tops. not enough to trip the bms.
