Hi everyone!
Just bought an 2007 vectrix.
Unfortunately the motor is too noisy, as its sound so loud that everyone looks at me in the street.
In the past, I found two videos in the youtube and one of them was from here and the other from endless-phere!
One of the videos (from an italian guy), shows a vectrix in the horizontal position and the guys taking the oil with a syringe and changing the position of the planetary motor to make them fit better...
The other video just shows ONE guy making a modification to allow the oil to be changed and full filled (he made two holes in the motor cover.
So, I would like to know if anyone has the videos links as i'm not founding them.... =\
Need also advices and feedbacks from these modifications...
Regards
Hi RuFuS,

Yes...the video from oobflyer is one of the videos i was searching...but the other from the italian guy doesn't appear, and that's the video where they change the gearbox planetary position...
Did anyone change the planetary reels/gears position to the other side?
Hi Rufus,
check the subpages from MIK >>open Source Vectrix-Vectux
He described the noise-problems and how to fix it very good.
Greetings Mike
Yes...also good information...
Just wondering for the italian video... =\

Here's a thread on lubriloy that I havn't tried so I can't recomend it. If any one else has tried it I would be interested in reading what they think of it. In the past someone recomended using very light oil so using heavy oil might not be a good idea.
Here is a description of how the gearbox noise can sometimes be reduced:

I didn't understand one thing...which type of oil should be used? Thinner or thicker?
I was searching a syntethic 80W140 or 75W90 transmission oil but didn't find yet...which one do you recommend?
I use medicinal grade Castor Oil, but that might not work as well in colder climates. The gearbox does rarely get below 10degC here.

The link takes you to private videos - so i guess you'll have to get in touch with the video submitter and ask them to allow you to view it ..
