68 MPH Firmware

I was frustrated that I could not get a copy firmware to update my new bike from this site, so:

I am going to try to upload text versions of the hex files. The problem is, I haven't tested this. Don't use these until I post that I have succeeded.

Re: 68 MPH Firmware

I hope you had better success installing the files on your bike than you appear to have done posting them to the forum.

Needless to say, I won't be tempted to install any of these files on my bikes as I think they all be the same 0mph firmware (AKA doorstop firmware).

Re: 68 MPH Firmware

Yes, thanks, the bike is running and charging great. Just need a new ESD charger to replace the one I stole from my other bike. These are 3 of the files that you sent me, the ones I used to update my bike. Not sure what you mean doorstop firmware. But they were UUencoded and pasted into a message, that was truncated when it was displayed. Even though I could go back in and edit the message and every line of text was still there.

Sad, I thought I was being so smart. I guess there is a limit to the message size or something, but even when I tried to truncate the message it failed. Must be something in the output of the encoded hex files that triggered it to display differently than just text...

Dropbox attempt

OK, I have uploaded those files to my dropbox:

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/hiqc24d5wkonr4t/AACOuC2JZ1uOcQ3fnqXdftwba?dl=0

Let me know if this works for others so they can transfer the .hex files to their computer.

Re: Dropbox attempt

I have just downloaded them all as a single Zip file, unzipped and compared to the original HEX files I have and the HEX files were identical "byte for byte" when I did a file comparison check, so they should be 100% OK for others to use with ESD charger equipped bikes.
