Thanks for the info. The BMS is kind of expensive. Ping sold me one for $50 but he would had preferred selling me a battery with BMS!
But I like the batteries. Looks like it would be easy to build a 36 or 48V pack using the 10h lifepo4 cells
Received the BMS. It is a signalab 12 cell BMS. I Need the wiring diagram to hook it up. I guess the C- is for the neg lead from the charger? the B- and the P- terminals ? one is for the batt neg? and the other batt pos, I'm not sure.
Any help would be appreciated as I don't want it to go up in smoke.

Another Question: Can I just tape the BMS on the battery without a heat Sink?
those BMS shunt rather small amounts of current (50mA)
no heat sink is fine.
