MB-1-E Part Three: A little bit of progress today ...

Hi fellow blog followers,

Today, Sturdly offered to send me some heatsink extrusion. This will be very helpful in keeping my controller nice and cool. Thanks Sturdly ... it's appreciated!!

I found some hard plastic discs while scrounging through my stuff the other day. I think they are shuffleboard pucks for use on gym floors etc. They are about 10' diameter and 1/2" thick and tough as nails.
More on this in a moment.

MB-1-E Part Two: Progress ... (maybe)

Hello Again,

I've been thinking about this project a lot, probably too much, but these kinds of projects seem to take on a life of their own and become obsessions. By now, I have a pretty good idea of how to make this all work (thanks again to Eric Peltzer's great documentation), however, the one thing that was still missing in my plan was ... how to mount the motor/ jackshaft assembly so it wouldn't fall off at the first bump I hit.

My first

Hi,

I've been informed that this is the appropriate place to post a journal about my adventures with electric vehicles. So, here goes.

In July 2005 I bought two eGo2 LX scooters for myself and my girlfriend. As her's is now sitting unused for nearly a year in her new boyfriend's garage, I will refer to mine only in this blog.

Chapter Ten : Component and Accessory Review

I spent an hour doing this last Saturday, pushed the preview button and it went off to cyber heaven. Just my luck I didn't save and all was lost. I will attempt to reconstruct this chapter but I don't think it will be quite the same. Here goes....

Chapter Nine: If that's a conversion, I've had it !

Took the early part of the day to get the wire routing finished. No matter how I clocked them, the throttle and horn controls just wouldn't go around these integrated brake and shifter controls. So I just left them short and over the top. I'll work them out after I upgrade the shifters. The brake cut out switches also had 3 wires instead of the usual 2 and rather than figure out how to integrate them using a Magura 2 wire switch and custom bracket I took off the works. Just unplugged from the controller and removed them.
