Excellent news!

My Vectrix is running very well at the moment, I am always concerned about the main fuse blowing, as this happened at 3500milesish - but im hoping that I just had a dud!

Re: Vectrix UK

Welcome Vectrix UK, great hearing from you and to know you are up and running !!!

Is there anything we (the forum / UK Vectrix owners) can do to improve your current situation?

Would you be interested to run extra services on the bike (previously I was asked to contact a shop in London) or anything else that could improve your situation?

I am sure it is not only me but many of us that wish you the very best.

Re: Vectrix UK

Great to hear from Vectrix UK!!

Just a couple of questions.

1) Vectrix UK was/is a distributor/Dealer? or is Vectrix UK, the Publically Listed Company?
2) Vectrix UK is honouring the Vectrix Warranties in the UK?
3) Vectrix UK can supply all spare parts?
4) Vectix UK is still selling Vectrix V1 and at what price?
5) Vectrix UK owned by VCorp US ?
6) If Vectrix UK is independant of US, will you represent other brands to generate cash flow?
7) If so, who?
8) No doubt you have seem MIk's excellent tread regarding a rescue fund, would Vectrix UK supply your customer mailing list? (even if on the same basis as the offer from Vectrix Australia?)

Sorry to sound so cautious, but these are troubled times with Vectrix and any clarity would be apreciated.

Hey Marcopolo

Isnt this fantastic news looks like they are really getting a handle on this and moving forward.
Why the aggresive style questioning like they say if you want to know anything give them a call or are do you have something to hide.

Just very well informed

Re: Vectrix UK

Well Rebel,

I didn't feel really feel my questions to vectrix UK were particularly aggressive, and in the circumstances quite valid. I wanted Vectrix UK to have the opportunity to answer in a public forum, so the answer could reassure everyone. If I wanted to hide something, I would not want to publish my questions for public scrutiny, now would I? Maybe I am overly cautious but, Vectrix UK did not reply to what I would have thought a very important question for all Vectrix owners, "Will Vectrix UK honour Vectrix warranties ?". (maybe just an oversight?).

If I were being aggressive I would have asked how a subsidiary company can continue to trade when the parent is filing for bankruptcy? This is a real problem when the manufactured product is set to disappear. (Neither Vectrix factory functioning) In addition Vectrix UK's information is inconsistent with that of its parent group! Without detailed explanation, Vectrix UK would appear appear to be trading while insolvent. This is a serious offence. Mr Schorr may be a real nice guy, and really believes in the future of Vectrix UK, but promising that things will improve after reconstruction, implies that Vectrix has resolved it problems and has recommenced trading. This statement claims commercial and financial knowledge that, if true, should be correctly reported to AIMS.

I don't know why you get so angry when I am being cautious. If I am wrong, well that's great news! But the last thing anyone needs is for hopes to be raised, only to be dashed by over optimism. I can also understand how passionately you would want Vectrix UK to succeed, but that doesn't mean the legal questions will simply disappear! Nor can I , or anyone hurt Vectrix UK by asking.

Incidental Rebel, I am surprised not to see you among the first to step forward and contribute to the Vectrix Rescue Fund proposed by Mik ? Or maybe I missed your contribution, if so I stand corrected.

Re: Vectrix UK

Kudos to marcopolo for helping us look at the bigger picture it means for "Vectrix UK" to continue.

Rebel - ease up a bit. Nothing marcopolo is doing or has said is likely to change anything related to "Vectrix UK" and their posts.

Vectrix UK - any comments on warranty and on the ability of Vectrix UK to survive independently of Vectrix US? Or are you telling us that Vectrix US is also going to survive? Has a "white knight" really arrived?

Re: Vectrix UK

Curiouser, and curiouser, said Alice...

It appears Rebel, that you and all the other hopefuls maybe the victims of hoax by Vectrix UK!!

Jim Schoor was dismissed as a officer of Vectrix sometime ago, and Vectrix UK is being wound up with debts of more then $20 million dollars (and counting). Mr Schoor may have virtue on his side in his fight with Vectrix Corp, and this may be a tactic to avoid directors personal liability. I don't know and can only speculate. His motives may be honest or mischievous, that's not for me to assess. (He could be hoping to just to quit his share of the stock he has left, to defend his share of litigation, or he may genuinely believe in the White Knight) who knows? The fact that his posts are evasive and erroneous doesn't strike me as promising.

Now if you like conspiracy theories, Vectrix UK may even be a tactic to dissuade a potential buyer of VCorp IP! In that case you would be cheering your enemy! I don't know, but then neither do you! It doesn't help anyone to have these distractions at this time, have you noticed that the mysterious RMC, along with Chip and Dale, Jim Knoor et al.., these guy's who were going to reveal details of the great Vectrix rescue, have become strangely silent? I am not happy or gloating at vectrix demise, I stand to loss a great deal of money, but I simply want the truth. Is that so hard for you to accept?

Incidentally, I have written to Mr Schoor privately, putting these and other questions to him, so that he could answer in confidence, I have received no reply.

The problem for Vectrix UK, is they would have to either trade as a separate company from Vectrix Corp, seek permission to continue to trade while insolvent or prove that VCorp is solvent.

As I say, like all corporate failures, the end is always messy as the various parties fight out who is to blame. It is no good blaming the messenger, but I always feel sorry for those who passionately believe in a product and can't bear to accept business reality at the demise of the corporation.

You would do much better support Mik's idea, which at least has the merit of truth and reality. Or better still, support manufacturers like CoMoCo, who while not as sophisticated as Vectrix are at least going to continue to service your purchace.

Re: Vectrix UK

@ JimKnopf, marcopolo, Rebel: I propose you take your dispute that reached a rather intimitate level into private mail. This would allow the other readers of this thread to focus on what the member Vectrix UK has to say.

One of the items mentioned by the member Vectrix Uk was that their webpage will be back online some time today (5PM EST). Let's take this as a benchmark for the time being.

Re: Vectrix UK

I'm going to call it as I see it as Vectrix UK ARE my local dealer and I have dealt with them exclusively for everything. This is genuine, BUT for how long they don't know and are up front about that. Let's not forget that they stand to lose their jobs as well and to come on a public forum as Vectrix currently have no website or direct contact should be applauded. Can they not be given the benefit of the doubt here?

It would appear that the best I can probably hope for is to keep my Vectrix running as long as possible so I hope to keep anyone that can help me do that on side - that's the reason I recently joined this forum.

AND to clear any suggested conspiracy theories up I am in no way connected with Vectrix other than being a customer! I intend to take up Vectrix UK of their offer - thanks again and good luck to them.
