With the final closure of the VUK outlet, I thought it may be of some interest to revisit the VUK thread and acknowledge the devoted passion of the VUK supporters. It is also interesting to note that this was the most popular thread for contributions.
Looking back on the thread, it seems to summarise what went wrong with Vectrix. Terrific passion, lots of promise, but very little business acumen and practical reality.
We can only hope that the new owners can utalise that passion to develop a more professional and practical business strategy.

Although it seemed inevitable, I am saddened to hear that the UK shop is no more! If any of you (ex Vetrix UK) find yourselves near Washington, D.C. in the future, contact me for a free meal! Thanks for the assistance with the luggage box mounting parts that I needed! I wish you the best in the future.--Bob Curry, Adelphi, Maryland-USA
I'm based around the Medway towns area of Kent if anyone else is within range? Plenty of pubs and restaurants round here.
