OK, added everyone so far, those that are adding themselves, try to just add your town, we should probably not know where each other's backyards are. I re-sorted it so the new entries are part of the alphabetical list by username and I put an asterisk in front of everyone who currently has Street View of their area so you can flip from street view to street view w/o being kicked out as you will be if you click on a link that doesn't have street view. Plus it will be interesting to see how fast the other users get a google camera car driving by taking pictures.
Man these bikes sell in the UK. I was happy to get another bay area entry...

Wahoo! 1st post. Old Basing, Hants UK, just off M3, J6. Great time to get a Vectrix I reckon... Severe weather warning, 4" of snow/salt/slush- perfect for chucking it down the road. '98 model, 146 miles on the clock by previous owner, about 300yds by me. V reliable so far. Amazing how body memory works... Pulling the clutch in at the (only) junction seems activate stunning engine breaking ;o) Even when you know better!
On the VECTRIX, that "Clutch" lever is really the BACK BRAKE!-There is NO clutch, and "engine braking" is obtained by reverse rotation of the throttle while moving forward. (if at a STOP, reverse throttle gives REVERSE.)--Be safe, and enjoy!---Bob Curry

Ha, pulling the clutch is exactly what happened to me on my test drive!
Make sure you run it down to the red battery light a few times. And let it complete the charge cycle after that. This will bring back the battery to top condition. No heat problems in this weather :-)
Thanks AndY1... Irony I hope, I'm a Newbie, so Sarcasm not allowed yet. Survival responses are amazing, the problem is they tend to kick in at inappropriate moments... I'll edit out those MC reflexes until that 18 wheeler fails to see me at the junction in 2 years time, when they'll kick in & I'll stupidly pull the clutch again. (All mentioned in "Twist of the Wrist" by Keith Code- essential reading for all 2 wheelers. Saved my life on spilled diesel about 10 years ago, going far too fast on a Suzuki Bandit 600 on a good country road with no run off).
I'm off topic. Time to shut up.
Thanks for the advice- I rode it around today for 1st time- 2x5 mile trips, air temp about +1 degree C. Behaved fine, but got yellow wrench & "no ts." Will try full equalisation tonight, check again tomorrow. Don't want to nail any cells... It's on latest software & now has the Mk 2 charger, so may explain why searching for no ts hasn't been much good. I shall cross all my digits...
Cheers, Matt
got lost in the huge site here
just about found out where i am.
so will find the appropiate place to post
You're wellcome here. Maybe you can help us in finding a BMS for the vectrix NIMH batteries.
New member here and (blush) I am not in the right place, pardon me? And, worse, I don't know what a Vectrix is!
Be kind as I surely shall do some looking to educate myself and soon! :)
For the heck of it:
I am located in Tempe, Arizona and Dakota!
HOWEVER, I have been to most of the countries represented here with the exception of New Zealand and Australia.
Yes, I was in China and now I've bought a Chinese made Scooter. Guess I should have visited Australia first! ;)
I do hope to get to know more about the electric scooter. I hadn't planned on even buying one as I have restrictions on driving privileges...no, not drinking, I wish! I have seizures and have been using a couple of electric golf carts to get out. When I saw an electric scooter online, I bought her immediately. The price was right and even if I need to put some money into Bella Gela, I'm okay with that. As a landscape artist who loves to paint on site, I am desperate to find ways to venture out!
So, Hello to All and thanks for the interesting read!
Cheers!

Yes this is my first Vectrix (and my first Electro Scooter to). I'm driving Scooters since about 15 years for my way to work. Last it was a Peugeot Elyseo 125, but now I had problems with it, so I changed to Electric.
I'm very happy with the Vectrix, but only used for about 500 km. I will report, as far as I have more information/Experience with it.
I have already made my 3 total discharge/recharge Cycles:
Drive range: env. 100 km (mixed with every speed, inkl. 40km >80kmh)
Charge: each around 7 kWh
Charge Time env. 5h
I do not knew any people here in Switzerland with a Vectrix, perhaps there are any.
Auckland, New Zealand. Number five here in NZ.
Bought my first Vectrix in the Netherlands, had 12000 km on the clock before it was rear-ended and totaled.
The second VX-1 is now in the registration process here in NZ and hopefully on the road in a few days.
Andy, is the map still working? My Vectrix has moved from Ireland to somewhere in Germany ....improved range!! Is it possible to edit? I would also like to 'capture' that green bike symbol for my own use. Where was that located? Thanks / Joe
Hi it's kev with in Leeds west Yorkshire England.
My beloved silver vectrix in my profile picture ,,thanks ps any one passing in a v can have free charge and cup of tea..

I have just moved your Vectrix back to Ireland.....
I have been meaning to update that map of mine. Can't believe it's been so long that people have been entering their locale in a message and not on the map. I will do that at some point.

Make sure the bike has performed an equilisation charge first, or you will unnecessarily reverse some cells.
when you turn the bike on while its still plugged in, it will show:
EO 000 if it has performed an equalisation
CO 000 if it has not.
a full charge plus equalisation takes around 8 hours
ride the bike to empty within the day (in cold weather, temps below 24 deg C)
avoid riding to red light for the most part to get best service life.
riding to red light only syncs your fuel guage, but stresses the battery to do it.
