No, I hadn't installed Laird's firmware yet as I've been waiting to secure a couple of reliable outlets at work for recharging. My usual outlet has a "flaky" GFCI that would randomly trip out; with the Laird's software I would conceivably have never gotten a full charge as the circuit would have probably tripped during the pre-charge cooling operation. This issue is now solved to I'll probably do the upgrade sometime this fall.
It is actually the other way around. There is no pre-charge cooling but post-charge cooling.
With The Laird software you are charging at a much lower power rate so there is also less chance of tripping a breaker. The power rate is actually almost 50% lower than the standard Vectrix software!
Impressive!
To still my curiosity, how many battery packs / replaced cells was spent during the first 60.000km?
Still the original parts in the gearbox?
Any issues with the motor controller?
Where on the globe do you live? Thinking of the climate where all those km was ridden.
/Frolle
I changed a battery pack after 12,000 km and the last package I have traveled 50000 km was still accurate and efficient 65km at 65km/h. I put Lifepo4 'cause I wanted more' autonomy.
I changed the encoder and the fuse.
everything else ok
I live in Rome, Italy
PS. with 41 cells the notches were very wrong .. now with 42 cells (few weeks) the notches seem much more 'true .. estimate range 90-120km ..
Congratulations Grillino!
woowwww 70.000 km! You're approaching the (over)estimated life of the Vectrix's original battery: 80.000 km.
Have you made the conversion of your vectrix by yourself? What cells are you using in the conversion?
Not close yet only 750 miles on one. 1250 miles on the other. Still in mint shape. Does make it hard to keep the batteries up to shape but I ride them around the neighborhood. It's about time for another toy. Anyone have interest in a his and hers pair in Georgia?
Have you installed The Lairds software already?
Better to do that before you start shorting cells.
Once you go EV, Gas is history!

Thats my battery pack (the 3rd one) reached the 30,000km mark, the rest of the bike is 6,000km in front
