Am I in the right place?

Seems I have a vehicle that is a little hard to classify. I call it an electric truckster.

Electric scooter for a 12 yr old

Can anyone give me some advice on a new electric scooter for my 12-year-old son? We've heard about x-treme scooter but we are a little concerned about ordering something like this on the internet. The one we were considering is the XB-500. Any thoughts on this scooter, or any other ideas, would help put a smile on a 12-year-old's face! Thanks!

BD 24 upgrade

I installed the BD 24 on my Specialized Hardrock mountian bike. Works well but just for the fun it would like to run it at 36 V.

Question: will the front forks take the stress of the extra power. And the brakes?

LIFe retro-fit kit prospects

So I stumbled into the LiFePO4 discussions while trying to find a better replacement for my 36V E-Bike (EV). Skimming the forum posts for about a year back, I run across several references to individuals/enterprises hoping to produce DIY kits "soon." I'd like to know what the forum believes is a realistic time period for someone to come out with a retro kit for electrically-challenged individuals? I mean, I can wire cells in series or parallel...but beyond that I'd be easily lost.

Questions on Kollmorgen Motor (24vdc 400w)

Well I managed to resolve my problem finding a front freewheel for my e-bike build by getting lucky enough to stumble across a Schwinn Suburban. I have the drive sprocket installed and am working on the motor now. I think myself and my technician friends can figure out how to reverse rotation, but I'm interested in using a hall throttle instead of 5k pot. I saw a thread on here a while ago from Bob about adding a 5v regulator to be able to do this. Does anyone have any pictures of this or exactly how to wire it? Does anyone have schematics for this motor?

Free wheel hub/sprocket that works with #25 Chain?

*I have an e-scooter and I would normally post a question like this in the scooter section, but I thought there may be more people in this particular part of the forums who deal with sprockets and chains.*

I want to put a free wheel sprocket on my e-scooter so the resistance of the engine doesn't impact the scooter's ability to coast without power. Currently the engine puts a significant amount of resistance on the drive wheel and it slows you right down after cutting out the throttle.

Something is wrong with my "lashout" electric bicycle... can you help?

hi all,

i have a lashout electric bike and today the motor stopped giving power to the wheel. i hear it spin though.

i raised the rear wheel off the ground and tried the accelerator and it spins the wheel but when i rest it back on the ground it stops spinning the chain

i then separated the motor from the main gear assembly and both items seem to be in good working order

does anyone know what the problem could be and how i would go about fixing it?

this is my main mode of transportation so i'm kinda stalled until get it fixed
