Ok if anyone can tell me what to do to get this thing moving at a decent speed i'd appreciate it
system - 48 volt, 1 48v 14ah,1 48v 7ah
hub motor- 350-500 watt
controller 48v 17a (supposedly
speed- 25-28kmh
bike=
Motor=
Controller says 48v 17a=
Main battery volts (not fully charged)=
3 big wires going to the motor=
1st at full throttle
2nd at full throttle
3rd at full throttle
this bike only does about 25-28kmh and i need it to go faster, there is a connector and if you plug in the other loose connection,it turns slower,so it's in turbo mode as it is now
Any help would be appreciated,as this bike should be going faster than it is??????????
Can i get 48 volts running to the motor?
`Ronin,
Welcome to our V is for Voltage Community, I assume both post were the same. We moved it here, since we call them Scooters and not Bikes. What model did you purchase?
You might want to start by reading some of the following threads X-Treme XB-508 what can be done to increase performance? and trying to decide what to do with my cheap piece of crap plastic XB500. and Has anyone modified a China Brushless Hub Motor Controller to increase performance? and finally Electric Scooters Up to 750 Watts Collaborative Hand Books

Thanks a bunch!
With those specs I think your best bet is a really really steep hill =P. J/K, but the motor power is pathetic though its hard to judge a motor just by its rating. It is hard to make sens of:
How many batteries are in the scooter?
At first glance it looks like a voltage increase would help a lot. If the motor is not getting very hot than this might do the trick, but you'll need another charger to charge the extra battery(s).

Pic from http://www.electri
It has one 48 volt 14ah pack in the floor, and one 48 volt 7ah pack under the seat..you can switch which one you're using by the key (A&B)...I'm just going to sell it and build my own based on a 404 hub motor.
Or i might try adding one of those replacement powerwheels 12 volt 14 ah batteries to it
Ya, the motor sounds underpowered to me.
