Saying "No!" to X-Treme

Hello,

Due to the amount of shipping damage, lack of customer service and replacement parts, as well as an attitude towards my customers, I can not recommend any X-Treme brand.

For more information, do a Google search for "Alpha Products International", or "X-Treme Struggleville".

Thank you.

Fixing America's Ailing Economy

Our new president-elect Barak Obama has proposed to implement a massive public works program to restore our highway/roads infrastructure. While this is generally a sound strategy, the idea has to be refined to address America's long-term needs.

A new plan for America's energy and economic well being;

xm3500li added battery

I recieved my 3500li in september but it was damaged in shipping, so I had to refuse shippment.(that wasn't easy I wanted it bad) so I waited for my friend to get his. His came with slight chafing on right side of cowling (mine had hole worn clear through)but we accepted it. It works well but only does about 45mph stock. The first thing we did was replace all the lights with LEDs and added a switch so you can turn off the main headlight to save power. We haven't found an LED replacement for the main.

My blog is moving to my own website

I'm posting new entries on my continuing Boxer-EV saga on my own personal website blog: http://gpsy.com/ev/

Why? It's easier to post new entries using my desktop blog client (MarsEdit) and the VisForVoltage website is occasionally verrrrryyyy slow which is frustrating.

So please visit my site (http://gpsy.com/ev/) for further updates!

Electro-saki

Just a couple of corrections I needed to add:
The controller I bought is (not Kelly) Curtis PMC model 1204-412SU RATED at 48volts, 300 amps.
I think this is a good match with the GE brushed, motor.

AND I'd forgotten that this version of the KZ400 (1978) had a 6 speed gearbox. I just bought two new sprockets for the final drive; reduced the rear from 45 teeth to 43 so I'm thinking I can get up to highway speeds well enough.

Would still like to hear from anyone who can offer a suggestion for the gear ratio I might try at the DC motor - crankshaft.

my first test scooter

One day,a customer told me that he want to visit the factory. After a few days he really came with two other colleages at 2 pm on June 23 .I accommodated them, and guided them to go around the factory.I thought they must like to test the scooters,so I asked whether they want to.About 4 pm ,we went out and tested the scooters.
It's my first test scooter.I felt excited and happy. The scooter is very powerful and fast.I took some photos for them.As the scooter is too big for me ,so i just stayed in

Electro-saki conversion

December 1, 2008
Now that it's really winter here in Syracuse,NY and I am forced to put the Triumph Bonneville to bed for the season; it's now time to revisit the electric conversion.

Since the first post I now own a GE 7hp DC motor that I bought on ebay, and a Kelly controller.

48V Ping - Brushless Wilderness Tests

11/16/2008 - 1st Long Ride (~5miles): Stable, smooth performance. About 23-24mph on flats. Very quiet. Some cogging at startup, but soon goes away. Some vibration up the steepest hills without pedaling. Pedal-first controller is smooth and kicks in about 3mph or less. May opt for the "shunt mod" in the future to double the current (40A). Bike uses a shimano internal hub shifter, which is a great match to the hub motor: very easy shifting. Highest gear is just barely acceptable for pedal assist on the flats & downhill.

mod for xb500

Does any 1 know if the shunt mod for the xb500 worked out? Is there any 1 that can update me on this? because I'm about to do it to mine and I would rather be safe than sorry. Thank you all!

THEODORE CLAREY

So it is possible to do the shunt mod with the xb500? If any 1 has this process with pictures please let me know. I also want to add another battery tell me if this is ok
